Mega Hoops

Mega Hoops is an Ontario Basketball community program which delivers clinics and programs to schools, community centres, after-school Mega Hoops Logoprograms and summer camps throughout the province to youth ages 6 to 16. The Mega Hoops curriculum is guided by Canadian Sport for Life and Long Term Athlete Development principles.

Mega Hoops Basketball program for YOB 2012-2011 will consist of 45 minute program that will include active warm-up, skill game activities and equal play game play 3 vs 3 side courts based on Physical Literacy Guide and Long Term Athlete Development Model for Active Start Stage.

Mega Hoops Basketball program for YOB 2010-2009 will consist of 45 minute program that will include active warm-up, skill game activities and equal play game play 3 vs 3 side courts based on Physical Literacy Guide and Long Term Athlete Development Model for Fundamentals Stage.

Steve Nash Youth Basketball

Picture1Steve Nash Youth Basketball is a national youth basketball initiative designed to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship and a love for the game of basketball. This grassroots program supports and empowers community-based recreational groups and facilities, schools and other institutions across Canada in an effort to positively influence youth through basketball. The goal of the program is to allow participants the opportunity to maximize their potential, while promoting the importance of youth basketball as a vehicle to build character, discipline and self-esteem.  The Steve Nash Youth Basketball curriculum is guided by Canadian Sport for Life and Long Term Athlete Development principles.

Steve Nash Youth Basketball program for YOB 2008-2007 will consist of 60 minute program that will include active warm-up, skill game activities and equal play game play 3 vs 3 half-court based on Physical Literacy Guide and Long Term Athlete Development Model for Fundamentals & Learning to Train Stage.

Steve Nash Youth Basketball program for YOB 2006-2003 will consist of 60 minute program that will include active warm-up, skill game activities and equal play game play 3 vs 3 half-court based on Physical Literacy Guide and Long Term Athlete Development Model for Learning to Train Stage.
