In 2020, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes will mount the annual Dream Ball.
The Kawartha Haliburton Children’s Foundation (KHCF) and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes Foundation (BGCKL Foundation) have entered into a partnership in order to ensure the longevity of the Dream Ball. The transition will occur over a period of 5 years, after which time BGCKL will be the sole organizer and beneficiary of the event.
“After 25 years, the timing was perfect to partner with another local organization in Lindsay,” says Deb Aben, Executive Director of the Kawartha Haliburton Children’s Foundation. “The Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes was our first and best choice considering that many of the children already supported by the Dream Ball attend their summer camps.”
“We can’t thank KHCF and the Dream Ball committee members, past and present, enough for this wonderful opportunity,” says Amy Terrill, Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes Foundation. “In 2020, the Club’s 50th anniversary year, it will be an incredible honour to work with the Dream Ball Committee, existing volunteers, sponsors and donors, and to bring our staff and volunteers to contribute their energy and ideas, in order to produce this fabulous community fundraising event.”
